ABSTRACT

Introducción: Actualmente se impone la automatización de los datos, lo que contribuye a ganar tiempo, mejorar el rendimiento y la escalabilidad de los procesos. Objetivo: crear una base de datos automatizada (BDA) para el control de la literatura docente, en la Filial de Ciencias Médicas de Nuevitas. Métodos: Se realizó un estudio de innovación tecnológica, en el período comprendido desde octubre de 2021 hasta enero de 2022; para la recolección de datos se utilizó una encuesta, que permitió el diagnóstico de la necesidad de crear el producto terminado e identificar criterios que aportaron información primaria. Como herramienta de diseño se utilizó el gestor de base de datos Microsoft Access. Se trabajó en dos etapas: la primera donde se hizo un estudio de los documentos concernientes a la literatura docente existentes en el almacén y la segunda en la cual se trabajó en el diseño lógico y físico de la BDA. Resultados: La factibilidad del producto fue valorada de adecuada por parte de los especialistas. Conclusiones: Se recomienda la validación del producto para determinar su confiabilidad, así como la utilización del producto terminado en otras instituciones de la educación médica superior.


Introduction: Currently, the need for data automation is an imposition that contributes to reducing time, as well as improving performance and process scalability. Objective: to create an automated database (BDA) for the control of teaching literature in the Nuevitas Medical Sciences Branch. Methods: A study of technological innovation was carried out from October 2021 to January 2022. The information was obtained by means of a survey, which allowed the diagnosis of the need to create the finished product and identify criteria that provided primary information. Microsoft Access database manager was used as design tool. The work was carried out in two stages: a first stage related to the study of the documents concerning the teaching literature existing in the warehouse; the second stage that involved the logical and physical design of the BDA. Results: The feasibility of the computer product was assessed as adequate by the specialists. Conclusions: The validation of the product is recommended to determine its reliability, as well as its use in other institutions of higher medical education.

ABSTRACT

Total mesorectal excision (TME) is an effective surgical method to reduce the local recurrence of rectal cancer and improve patient prognosis. However, there is debate about which surgical platform to use to achieve the best surgical outcome for TME. The emergence and technological progress of transanal total mesorectal excision (taTME) can solve the problem of difficulty in lower rectal resection and achieve better surgical resection results. Based on relevant literatures and combined with team clinical practice, the authors explore the technical advantages and oncological efficacy of taTME in rectal cancer.

ABSTRACT

In order to judge the future development trend of science and technology, plan ahead and lay out the frontier technology fields and directions, China Association of Chinese Medicine(CACM) has launched consultation projects for collecting "major scienti-fic issues and engineering technology difficulties in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)" for the industry for three consecutive years since 2019. Up to now, 18 projects have been selected as major issues for research, and some experience and achievements have been made. These projects have been applied in important scientific and technological work such as scientific and technological planning and deployment at all levels of national, local, and scientific research institutions, the selection and cultivation of major national scientific and technological projects, and the construction of innovation bases, giving full play to the role of the think tank advisory committee of CACM. This study reviewed the selection of major issues for the first time, systematically combed its application in the national layout of science and technology, and put forward the existing problems and improvement suggestions, aiming to provide new ideas for further improving the selection of major issues and research direction, providing a theoretical basis and decision support for the national scientific and technological layout in the field of TCM, and promoting scientific and technological innovation to facilitate the high quality development of TCM.

ABSTRACT

O Núcleo de Inovação Tecnológica do Instituto Adolfo Lutz (NIT-IAL), foi criado em dezembro de 2013 com o objetivo de estimular a inovação dentro do instituto, bem como administrar a propriedade intelectual gerada na instituição e providenciar meios para promover a transferência de conhecimento científico, tecnológico e cultural ao setor produtivo público e privado. Após o mapeamento das áreas técnicas, foram identificados obstáculos não previstos na Lei de Inovação, os quais o NIT-IAL conseguiu superar, permitindo parcerias técnico-científicas com instituições públicas e privadas, e gerenciamento dos recursos financeiros (AU).


The Technological Innovation Center of the Adolfo Lutz Institute (NIT-IAL) was created in December 2013 with the objective of stimulating innovation within the IAL, as well as managing the intellectual property generated at the institute and providing means to promote the transfer of scientific, technological and cultural knowledge to the public and private productive sector. After mapping the technical areas, situations not covered by the Innovation Law were identified. The NIT-IAL managed to overcome these challenges and allowing technical-scientific partnerships with public and private institutions and financial resources management (AU).

INTRODUÇÃO: Profissionais atuantes na área de terapia intensiva (UTI) são constantemente desafiados a apresentarem um alto nível de desempenho e conhecimento. Neste cenário, destaca-se o fenômeno da utilização de aplicativos móveis (também conhecidos como APPS) entre a população mundial, visando assim ao acesso fácil e rápido a informação a fim de auxiliar na tomada de decisão. OBJETIVOS: Desenvolver um APP direcionado para profissionais intensivistas. MÉTODOS: O desenvolvimento do aplicativo (APP) foi feito a partir da plataforma Expo, elaborado em um computador e disponibilizado para as plataformas Android e IOS. As temáticas presentes no aplicativo foram definidas com base no conhecimento de dois fisioterapeutas especialistas em Fisioterapia em Terapia Intensiva Adulto com mais de 10 anos de experiência. RESULTADOS: O APP utiliza uma interface intuitiva, sensível ao toque e de rápido acesso às informações que o usuário solicitar. Há um menu apresentando os botões referentes a cada função do APP, tais como: índices e cálculos; escalas funcionais; exames laboratoriais; sinais vitais; desmame; ventilação mecânica (VM); ventilação não invasiva (VNI). Desta forma, o APP apresenta sete modalidades. O tempo de desenvolvimento do aplicativo foi de 12 meses. CONCLUSÃO: Desenvolvemos um APP com foco em profissionais que atuam em UTIs, com o objetivo de que estes obtenham informações à beira leito assim como facilidade de utilização de instrumentos avaliativos


INTRODUCTION: Professionals working in the area of intensive care (ICU) are constantly challenged to present a high level of performance and knowledge. In this scenario, the phenomenon of the use of mobile applications (also known as APPS) among the world population stands out. Thus aiming at easy and quick access to information in order to assist in decision making. OBJECTIVES: Develop an APP aimed at intensive care professionals. METHODS: The development of the application (APP) was made from the Expo platform, it was prepared on a computer and made available for the Android and IOS platforms. The themes present in the application were defined based on the knowledge of two Physiotherapists specializing in Physiotherapy in Adult Intensive Care with more than 10 years of experience. RESULTS: The APP uses an intuitive, touchsensitive interface with quick access to the information that the user requests. There is a menu showing the buttons representing each function of the APP, such as: indexes and calculations; functional scales; laboratory tests; vital signs; weaning; mechanical ventilation (MV); non-invasive ventilation (NIV). In this way, the APP presents seven modalities. Application development time was 12 months. CONCLUSION: We developed an APP focused on professionals who work in ICUs, with the objective that they obtain information at the bedside as well as ease of use of evaluative instruments.

The situation of population aging is grim.And scientific and technological innovation is an important strategic support means to solve the problem of population aging.President Xi Jinping has put forward the guiding ideology of "Four Facing" of scientific and technological innovation, pointing out the direction of using science and technology to support the high-quality development of the aging cause and to realize healthy aging.The scientific and technological innovation of population aging has always been highly integrated with exploring international science frontiers, serving main economic sectors, meeting major national needs and safeguarding people's life and health.This paper elaborates on the deep integration between the aging population and the "four facing" of scientific and technological innovation, in order to better construct a new development pattern, and for science to help actively cope with the smooth implementation of the national strategy of population aging.

Objective:To explore the scientific and technological innovation environment faced by hospitals in the context of great health, and the measures to promote the sustainable development of the independent innovation capacity of the third class hospitals.Methods:Combined with the development trend of scientific and technological innovation in the new era, this paper illustrates the practice of using existing resources to improve the level of clinical diagnosis and treatment technology and release the vitality of scientific and technological innovation, and puts forward some thoughts and suggestions for the work in combination with practice.Results:According to the measurements of " platform building, talent supporting and mechanism development" , the hospital integrated its internal resources, strengthened the integrated development of clinical disciplines within the platform resources, and strengthened the construction of hospital innovation connotation and the improvement of scientific research strength in many aspects.Conclusions:It is suggested to further clarify the development mode and direction of discipline innovation, continue to expand the construction of full-time scientific research teams, broaden and deepen the construction of public platforms, improve the multi-dimensional evaluation mechanism, and promote the establishment of a sustainable development system of scientific and technological innovation.

Chronic disease management is a challenging issue in China. To address the needs of talents and mature innovation ecosystem related to chronic disease management, The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University(FAH-SYSU) actively responds to the national strategy to promote the high-quality development of the hospital through strengthening strategic planning, top-level design, and systematic consideration. Precise management of chronic diseases was taken as key measure for the construction of a national medical center. With continuous exploration in establishing talent pool, innovation center and application platform, and chronic disease management system that focuses on core elements of talent and innovation, the FAH-SYSU Model for the precise management of chronic diseases has been initially formed.

Resumo A resposta americana à pandemia envolve um proeminente volume de recursos federais, em especial destinados ao desenvolvimento e aquisição de produtos no uso interno, como diagnósticos ou vacinas. As justificativas para esse desembolso se baseiam em mecanismos de investimentos e aspectos históricos. Assim, a construção social do nacionalismo na formação na sociedade americana prejudica o acesso a tecnologias em saúde. A revisão desses aspectos demonstra como os Estados Unidos (EUA) garantiram compra de grande quantitativo de produtos em potencial, inclusive assegurando excessiva produção local. Essa política externa unilateral tem influenciado outros países ou blocos regionais e prejudicado a cooperação e a solidariedade global com impacto na saúde coletiva de diversas nações.


Abstract The American response to the pandemic involves a prominent volume of federal resources, especially for developing and acquiring products for internal use, such as diagnostics or vaccines. Investment mechanisms and historical aspects justify this expenditure. Thus, the social construction of nationalism in American society hinders access to health technologies. The review of such aspects shows how the United States (U.S.) secured a large number of potential products, ensuring excessive local production. This unilateral foreign policy has influenced other countries or regional blocs and undermined global cooperation and solidarity, affecting the collective health of several nations.

ABSTRACT

Resumen Las "enfermedades infecciosas emergentes y reemergentes" constituyen una creciente amenaza para la hegemonía de la biomedicina, al suscitar no pocos interrogantes sobre la idoneidad de su discurso y prácticas para afrontar el desafío global que representan. Se analiza el proceso de construcción de esta nueva categoría nosológica, y se examinan ejemplos destacados del impacto de las enfermedades (re)emergentes en la salud pública, la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo humano a escala global. Se refiere a prácticas irresponsables de sectores de la industria farmacéutica y agropecuaria, determinantes en su desencadenamiento y diseminación; y a algunos fallos cruciales de enfoque y manejo de los tiempos en las políticas de salud global en relación al VIH/sida con desastrosas consecuencias para el África subsahariana.


Abstract "Emerging and reemerging infectious diseases" pose a growing threat to the hegemony of biomedicine, raising questions about whether its discourse and practices can handle the global challenge they represent. The construction of this new nosological category is analyzed in this article, which examines some notable examples of the impact of (re)emerging diseases on public health, food security and human development on a global scale. It discusses irresponsible practices by sectors of the pharmaceutical and agricultural industries which led to the emergence and spread of these diseases; and points to some crucial failures of approach and time management in global health policies on HIV/AIDS, with disastrous consequences for sub-Saharan Africa.

Objective:The development level of health science technology innovation plays crucial role in the sustainable development of economy and society in China. This article summarizes the experience of U. S., compares with the status quo of health science technology innovation in China, to provide possible reference for the future development in this field.Methods:This study mainly uses literature review, comparative reference and other methods to analyze the health science technology innovation and its development experience in U. S.Results:The U. S. has formed a health science and technology system with state-level research institutions as the main component, and has a strategic layout in the frontiers of basic medicine, key diseases, key population health, and medical device technology.Conclusions:Based on the experience of the u. s., China should establish a continuous medical research investment mechanism, strengthen the sharing of basic resources, attach importance to deployment in key areas, and continue to support cutting-edge research.

OBJECTIVE:To p rovide reference for improving the level of technological innovation and promoting the high-quality development of pharmaceutical industry in Fujian province. METHODS :A total of 452 people were interviewed by relevant departments of pharmaceutical industry ,industry associations ,pharmaceutical enterprises and some consumers in Fujian province. After sorting out the interview data ,based on the theory of causal loop diagram and problem basic model methods ,the key variables and problem basic models affecting the technological innovation system of pharmaceutical industry in Fujian province were investigated . The leverage solutions and suggestions were put forward. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS:The scientific and technological innovation environment ,managers’innovative ideas ,scientific and technological innovation motivation ,enterprise profits,product’s market competitiveness ,social organizations of pharmaceutical industry ,and industrialization of scientific and technological innovation achievements in the technological innovation system of pharmaceutical industry in Fujian province were closely related to the technological improvement of pharmaceutical industry in Fujian province. There were basic modes of “the rich getting richer ”for the technological innovation system of pharmaceutical industry in Fujian province ,i.e. the investment of external resources on scientific and technological innovation of pharmaceutical enterprises was mostly concentrated in the pharmaceutical enterprises above designated size. At the same time ,due to the lack of industry-research-university interaction and the unsmooth achievement transformation channel ,some small and medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprises with the potential of scientific and technological innovation or with traditional advantages may form the problem basic model “to attend to trifles and neglect the essentials”. It is suggested that the subjects related to pharmaceutical industry should give full play to the role of various scientific and technological platforms ,strengthen the attention and support to innovative small and medium-sized pharmaceutical enterprises , create and optimize the financial service environment for scientific and technological innovation of pharmaceutical enterprises ,and support pharmaceutical enterprises with innovation power and potential to carry out technological innovation projects.

ABSTRACT

Objective To understand the current situation of pharmaceutical research development in China and provide a constructive thinking for universities to serve the national innovation strategy through the statistical analysis of pharmaceutical papers and highly cited papers from Double First-rate universities. Methods CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and Chinese Biomedical Literature Database were searched for Chinese publications, and Scopus database was searched for English publications. Duplicates and non-research literatures were excluded. Excel 2016 software was used for statistical data analysis. Results By comparing the data from 2017 to 2019 with that from 2014 to 2016, it was found that the number of papers in Q1 area from international journals and Q2 area from domestic journals increased significantly. The popularity of publishing papers in international journals by university authors was increasing. The number of publications in domestic journals slightly decreased. From 2014 to 2020, 850 papers were published in domestic journals, among which 223 papers were highly cited, with a total cited times of 2 410 and an average cited times per publication of 10.81. Conclusion In spite of the government’s encouragement to publish the scientific and technological achievements in domestic journals, no such trend was formed from our analysis. Therefore, it is necessary to further build the corresponding academic ecology and enhance the international influence of domestic journals. The science and technology circles and technology publication circles in China should be deeply integrated to promote mutual development.

Resumen: Las bibliotecas públicas no son ajenas al constante cambio de su entorno, siguen tendencias tecnológicas y aplican modelos adecuados a las necesidades de sus usuarios. Derivando de esta idea, este trabajo tiene como objetivo contextualizar de manera breve la época actual en el ámbito de ciencia, tecnología, sociedad y economía incluyendo la crisis sanitaria de la COVID-19, así también, se expone las tendencias que se aplican en la gestión bibliotecaria y qué modelos se están adoptando en el ámbito bibliotecario. Para ello, se realizó una indagación documental de diversas instituciones y autores especializados sobre el tema en los últimos años. Se indica que varias bibliotecas a nivel mundial están diversificando sus servicios y productos con apoyo de las herramientas tecnológicas y han demostrado ser flexibles ante situaciones complicadas. Se concluye que el contexto influye en el desarrollo de programas de la biblioteca, asimismo, las tendencias y modelos están fuertemente relacionadas a la tecnología, más aún, cuando la crisis sanitaria ha ocasionado una aceleración de la virtualización de la gestión bibliotecaria. Además, se persigue la idea de implementar espacios de aprendizaje, creación, participación, inspiración, de encuentro social, de información fiable y de empoderamiento ciudadano, tanto en el ámbito físico como virtual.


Abstract: Public libraries are not unaware of the constant change in their environment, they follow technological trends and apply models appropriate to the needs of their users. Based on this concept, this work aims to briefly contextualize the current era in the field of science, technology, society and economy, including the health crisis of COVID-19, as well as the trends that are applied in the library management and what models are being adopted in the library field. For this, a documentary investigation of various institutions and specialized authors on the subject in recent years was carried out. It is indicated that several libraries worldwide are diversifying their services and products with the support of technological tools and have proven to be flexible in difficult situations. It is concluded that the context influences the development of library programs. Likewise, trends and models are strongly related to technology, even more so when the health crisis has caused an acceleration of the virtualization of library management. In addition, the idea of ​​implementing spaces for learning, creation, participation, inspiration, social encounters, reliable information and citizen empowerment is pursued, both physically and virtual.

Resumo A escassez de água em metrópoles brasileiras tem se agravado em função das características de seu próprio desenvolvimento. A expansão urbana desordenada e próxima a mananciais, junto com a falta de infraestrutura para estes novos núcleos habitacionais, tem favorecido a degradação dos mananciais utilizados para abastecimento público. Em razão disto, a população fica mais suscetível às doenças de veiculação hídrica. Independentemente dos tipos de contaminantes presentes na água, busca-se aprimorar as tecnologias tradicionalmente empregadas nos processos de tratamento hídrico a fim de garantir uma água segura para o abastecimento da população, sem considerar as inovações tecnológicas neste setor. Assim, o presente estudo busca evidenciar a necessidade de melhorar as ações de tratamento de água e esgotos realizadas atualmente no país, em função dos riscos associados à saúde pública. Busca-se também analisar o reúso potável direto e como esta prática pode ser uma solução para promover uma água de qualidade e suprir a demanda de grandes centros urbanos em situação de escassez hídrica.


Abstract Water scarcity in Brazilian metropolises has been aggravated by the characteristics of their very development. The disordered urban expansion near fountainheads and the lack of infrastructure for new housing units has contributed to the degradation of water sources used for public supply. This causes the population to be more susceptible to waterborne diseases. Regardless of the various types of contaminants present in the water, the improvement of traditional technologies used in the water treatment process and wastewater treatment is sought after to promote safe water supply to the population, without considering technological innovations on the sector. This study aims to demonstrate the ineffectiveness of treatment processes currently used in Brazil and the risks to public health. We also analyze the direct potable reuse and how this practice can be a solution to promote water quality and meet the demand of large urban centers in situations of water scarcity.

ABSTRACT

The iterative innovation of processing technology is one of the important tasks in studies on processing of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). It is also the prerequisite for modern, refined, automatic and intelligent manufacturing of TCM pieces. Microwave processing is a new fire processing technique developed in the recent 30 years, with a unique thermodynamic form, and energy transfer and transformation laws. Moreover, it owns the advantages of a high processing efficiency, good product properties and low production energy consumption, with great application prospects. This paper introduced the study overview of microwave expansion technology in the food industry, reviewed the origin of microwave processing technology of TCM, and expounded the basic concept, principle and main purpose of microwave processing technology used in TCM. Then, the impacts of drug factors and microwave factors on the microwave processing effect were summarized, the industrial equipment that could be used for microwave processing was listed, and the impacts of microwave heating on starch, polysaccharide, protein and other components in Chinese herbal medicines were analyzed. Furthermore, the study advance of microwave processing of 14 herbs was investigated, including Aconiti Lateralis Radix Praeparaia, Galli Gigerii Endothelium Corneum and Asini Corii Colla; and the appearance and components of herbs processed by traditional processing method and microwave processing method were compared, so as to reveal the opportunities and challenges of microwave processing technology in the industrial transformation. We hoped that the systematic study of microwave processing technology could provide new ideas and techniques for the high-quality and high-level development of the TCM pieces industry in the new era, and promote its inheritance, innovation and transformation.

Resumen Introducción. La disponibilidad de grandes volúmenes de datos ha hecho que la toma de decisiones, tanto académicas como empresariales, sea compleja, por lo que es necesario simplificar estos procesos para decidir efectivamente. Objetivo. Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación que buscó identificar las metodologías usadas para el fortalecimiento de líneas en centros o grupos de investigación académicos o empresariales. Materiales y métodos. Para ello, se efectuó una revi si ón si stemática exploratori a en Scopus, Ebsco, Science Direct y Scielo. Se encontraron 146 artículos de los cuales se incorporaron en el análisis 35. Resultados. Se detectaron tres tendencias en las metodologías a saber: 1) el enfoque cuantitativo muestra metodologías vinculadas hacia el uso de la bibliometría, la cienciometría y la minería de textos, 2) en el enfoque cualitativo se identificaron análisis documentales, de saberes o percepciones frente a la gestión de la innovación y el desarrollo, vistas desde la academia y desde el sector real y 3) en el enfoque mixto se identificaron estudios de perfiles del capital humano, sistema formal de Hilbert para una lógica proposicional clásica, simulación cualitativa-sociológica, revisión intermedia (métrica y pares), entrevistas y encuestas a empresas y técnica Delphi. Conclusión. Se concluye que el uso de enfoques cuantitativos, cualitativos o mixtos son pertinentes de acuerdo con el área de interés del centro o grupo de investigación; además, para los países desarrollados, este tema se encuentra aparentemente superado puesto que no se evidenció producción académica reciente al respecto, mientras que para los países en vías de desarrollo, existe un interés actual, en particular en lo relacionado con aspectos de inversión y su retorno.


Abstract Introduction: The availability of large volumes of data has made the decision making process, both for academics and businesses, a complex issue, so it is necessary to simplify these procedures in order to decide effectively. Objective: This article presents the results of a study that sought to identify the methodologies used to define or strengthen research lines in academic or business groups. Materials and methods: A systematic exploratory review in Scopus, Ebsco, Science Direct and Scielo retrieved 146 items, of which 35 were incorporated into the analysis. Results: Three different trends were found: 1) the quantitative approach shows methodologies related to the use of bibliometrics, scientometrics and text mining, 2) the qualitative approach identified documentary, knowledge or perceptions analyses regarding the management of innovation and development, seen from academia and from the real sector, and 3) the mixed approach identified profile studies of human capital, Hilbert formal system for classical propositional logic, qualitative-sociological simulation, intermediate review (metric and peers), interviews and surveys to businesses and Delphi technique. Conclusion: The findings show that the use of quantitative, qualitative or mixed approaches is relevant according to the area of interest of the center or research group; in addition, for developed countries this issue is apparently overcome, given that no recent evidence about academic production was found, whilst for developing countries, there is current interest, in particular that which is related to aspects of investment and its return.

A disponibilidade de grandes volumes de dados tornou que a tomada de decisões, tanto académicas como empresariais, sej a complexa, pelo que é necessário simplificar estes processos para decidir efetivamente. Objetivo. Este artigo presenta os resultados de uma pesquisa que procurou identificar as metodologias usadas para o fortalecimento das linhas nos centros ou grupos de pesquisa académicos ou empresariais. Materiais e métodos. Para isso, realizou-se uma revisão sistemática exploratória em Scopus, Ebsco, Science Direct e Scielo. Encontraram-se 146 artigos que foram incorporados na análise 35. Resultados. Detectaram-se três tendências nas metodologias à saber: 1) na abordagem quantitativa mostra metodologias vinculadas ao uso da bibliometria, a cienciometria e a mineira de textos, 2) na abordagem qualitativa identificaram-se análises documentais, de conhecimentos ou percepções frente à gestão da inovação e o desenvolvimento, observadas desde a academia e desde o setor real e 3) na abordagem mista identificaram-se estudos de perfis do capital humano, sistema formal de Hilbert para uma lógica proposicional clássica, simulação qualitativa-sociológica, revisão intermédia (métrica e pares), entrevistas e testes à empresas e técnica Delphi. Conclusão. Em conclusão, o uso de abordagens quantitativos, qualitativos ou mistos são pertinentes de acordo com a área de interesse do centro ou grupo de pesquisa; além, para os países desenvolvidos, este tema encontra-se aparentemente superado pois não evidenciou-se produção académica recente ao respeito, en quanto que para os países em desenvolvimento, existe um interesse atual, em particular no relacionado com aspetos de investimento e seu ambiente.

ABSTRACT

A inexistência da cura proporcionou a criação de uma prática interdisciplinar voltada para o conforto do paciente que vivencia o processo de morte e morrer. Nesse contexto, a identificação precisa dos sinais e sintomas desse paciente, não representa o cuidar em sua totalidade. O enfermeiro necessita ir muito além, principalmente quando assiste uma pessoa que está morrendo. Desse modo, evidencia-se a necessidade do desenvolvimento de Tecnologias Assistenciais, que direcione o enfermeiro na avaliação diária do paciente em Cuidados Paliativos. Assim, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo desenvolver um aplicativo móvel para a avaliação clínica do paciente sob Cuidados Paliativos. Como método utilizou-se a pesquisa metodológica aplicada de produção tecnológica, desenvolvida em duas fases. A primeira, denominada fase exploratória, caracterizou-se pela revisão de literatura e análise de um questionário aplicado aos participantes, com o objetivo de identificar os aspectos a serem considerados na avaliação de pacientes em Cuidados Paliativos. A segunda fase se refere ao desenvolvimento da tecnologia assistencial, que ocorreu em duas etapas: definição de requisitos e elaboração do mapa conceitual do aplicativo e geração das alternativas de implementação e prototipagem. Como resultado, criou-se o aplicativo denominado AVALIATIS - Cuidados Paliativos, que consiste em uma inovação na coleta de dados dos pacientes em cuidados paliativos. Sua estrutura simples e acessível permite que os enfermeiros realizem uma avaliação clínica específica, capaz de contemplar os principais sintomas apresentados por esses pacientes. Esta tecnologia consiste em mais um avanço nas pesquisas desenvolvidas pelo grupo de pesquisa Tecnologia e Inovação em Saúde - TIS da Universidade Federal do Paraná.


The inexistence of cures provided the creation of an interdisciplinary practice focused on the comfort of the patient who experiences the process of death and dying. In this context, the precise identification of the signs and symptoms of this patient does not represent the care on its totality. The nurse needs to go further, especially when he/she watches a dying person. Consequently, the demand for a development of Care Technologies is confirmed, one that helps nurses in the daily evaluation of patients in Palliative Care.Thus, the present work aims to establish a mobile app for the clinical evaluation of patients under Palliative Care. As a method, the methodological research applied to a technological production was used, and it increased two phases. The first one, called exploratory phase, was characterized by literature review and analysis of a questionnaire applied to the participants, with the purpose of identifying the aspects to be considered in the process. The second one refers to the creation of an assistive technology, which occurred in two stages: definition of requirements and elaboration of the app's conceptual map; creation of the implementation and prototyping alternatives. As a result, the app called AVALIA-TIS - Palliative Care was created, which consists of an innovation in the gathering of patient data in palliative care. Its simple and accessible structure allows nurses to perform a specific clinical evaluation, capable of contemplating the main symptoms presented by these patients. This technology composes another achievement in the research developed by the Research Group Technology and Innovation in Health - TIS of the Federal University of Paraná.

ABSTRACT

This article is to investigate the role of international academic communication of pharmacology in scientific and technological innovation. The object, the organization mode and the characteristics of international conferences of pharmacology, as well as their effects on pharmacology, were researched and analyzed. As shown in the text, international academic communication plays a key role in promoting scientific and technological development, such as pharmacological theory and technological creativity, new drug research and development, talents cultivation , etc. On the basis of the analysis, this paper suggests how to promote scientific and technological innovation, talents cultivation, and international discourse power through international academic exchange.

ABSTRACT

Introducción: La rápida evolución de la tecnología provoca la rápida obsolescencia de los equipos, esto constituye una desventaja dados los equipos tradicionales con que contamos en nuestro laboratorio. Técnicas como el procesamiento digital de imágenes han ampliado su propósito hacia el mejoramiento de las imágenes adquiridas y la búsqueda de información en ellas. Objetivo: Evaluar un soporte facilitador para la toma de imágenes microscópicas con dispositivos móviles digitales. Métodos: Se desarrolló una investigación de innovación tecnológica realizada en el período octubre-diciembre del 2017, en los laboratorios de Ciencias Básicas Biomédicas de la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Santiago de Cuba. Resultados: Se propone la generación de una herramienta o soporte que admita el acople de un dispositivo digital para la toma de imágenes, que permita el procesamiento, almacenamiento y análisis de imágenes microscópicas, para la creación de una base de datos digitales para uso académico por parte del personal del área de ciencias básicas biomédicas y como un medio que facilite el estudio de tejidos a los estudiantes de medicina. Desde el punto de vista económico, la integración de imágenes en los sistemas de información supondría una reducción significativa de costos. Conclusiones: Se aprovechan las ventajas de los dispositivos móviles para la digitalización de imágenes. Estos dispositivos pueden adaptarse a los microscopios y generar productos que permitan el fácil proceso de visualización y almacenamiento, siendo accesibles y de fácil uso. Facilitará el desarrollo de investigaciones en el campo de la histología(AU)


Introduction: The rapid evolution of technology causes rapid obsolescence of equipment, which is a disadvantage given the traditional equipment that we have in our laboratory. Techniques such as digital image processing have expanded their purpose towards the improvement of acquired images and the search for information in them. Objective: To evaluate a facilitating support for the taking of microscopic images with digital mobile devices. Methods: A technological innovation research conducted in the period October-December 2017, in the laboratories of Basic Biomedical Sciences at the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba was developed. Results: We propose the generation of a tool that supports the coupling of a digital device for taking images. The tool allows the processing, storage and analysis of microscopic images, for the creation of a digital database for academic use by the personnel of the area of biomedical basic sciences, which will also serve as a means to facilitate the study of tissues to the Medicine students. From the economic point of view, the integration of images in the information systems would imply a significant reduction of costs. Conclusions: The advantages of mobile devices for the digitalization of images are exploited. These devices can be adapted to microscopes and generate products that allow easy viewing and storage process, being accessible and easy to use. It will facilitate the development of investigations in the field of histology(AU)
